Task 1 Timeline: July through December 2009 Task 1 Costs: $5,200 (Labor and Herbicide) Page 2 of 3 Task 2: Management of Reed Canary Grass CCES restoration crews will mow and herbicide reed canary grass within select areas of the Foxborough conservation outlots. Reed canary grass will be treated within the northern wetland fringe and uplands of the wetland mitigation area, in natural wetlands along the trail corridor, and within stormwater basins that have been seeded with native species in past years. Reed canary grass will be treated with Glyphosate herbicide when it occurs in monotypic stands, and Sethoxydim (grass specific) herbicide when it occurs intermittently with other desirable native species. Task 2 Timeline: Task 2 Costs: July through October 2009 $3,200 (Labor and Herbicide) Task 3: Management of Invasive Cattails Invasive cattails ( Typha angustifolia and Typha X glauca) will be managed within stormwater basins of within the Foxborough conservation outlots. Invasive cattails are becoming problematic within these basins, and threaten to out - compete native species that were seeded into the basins in previous years. Invasive cattails will be cut, and treated with Glyphosate herbicide. Task 3 Timeline: Task 3 Costs: July through October 2009 $2,250 (Labor and Herbicide) Task 4: Management of Other Invasive Species and Noxious Weeds Other noxious weeds, such as Canada thistle, birds -foot trefoil, and yellow and white sweet clover, will be chemically treated by CCES restoration crews within the Foxborough conservation outlots. These species are particularly problematic along the trail corridor, where they are gaining a foothold from past grading and trail construction. CCES restoration crews will chemically treat these other invasive species with Glyphosate based herbicides (such as Roundup). Task 4 Timeline: Task 4 Costs: July 2009 through October 2010 $1,800 (Labor and Herbicide) Task 5: Removal of Non - Functioning Silt Fence Damaged and non - functioning silt fence within the Foxborough conservation outlots will be removed by CCES restoration crews. Functioning silt fences will be left in place, and reinforced if necessary. Task 4 Timeline: July through October 2009 Task 4 Costs: $790 (Labor and Removal)
