Upland is mainly a Northern pin oak <br />and Quaking aspen forest with some openings dominated by herbaceous plants. No saturated soils were encountered <br />in any soil pits; three soil pits were dug in the gas line easement and no saturated soils in any of them. Gas line <br />easement is dominated by Canada bluejoint grass, Reed canarygrass, and Glossy buckthorn with scattered young <br />Northern pin oak. This easement area is maintained periodically by brush mowing.
