ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING APRIL 28, 2009 <br />Section X. 12 Financial Procedures and Enforcement Actions <br />Ms. O'Dea questioned the bottom of page 21 Emergency Action: States <br />determined by community, would this also be determined by the City? <br />Mr. McLarnon stated yes. He will document search and add City as well <br />as Community. <br />Ms. Bor questioned if any developers have given feedback on this <br />document? Mr. McLarnon stated no. <br />Mr. Studenski stated for the most part we have had this information <br />available. <br />This item will come before the board again. There is not action needed at <br />this time. <br />7. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Recycle Day/May 1 <br />Board members were updated on the City's upcoming Spring Recycle Day. <br />Mr. Asleson mentioned he was not sure if the City Council will allow a Fall <br />Recycle Day this year. <br />B. Arbor Day <br />There will be an Arbor Day celebration at Rice Lake Elementary on May 5 <br />at Lino Lakes Elementary on May 7. <br />Mr. Asleson stated Trish and the Toons will be performing at Rice Lake <br />Elementary. <br />C. Earth Day <br />There were roughly 250 people who participated in Earth Day events this year <br />on April 24. Ms. Andrzejewski and one of her Rice Lake Elementary 5th <br />grade students had a display table at Wargo Nature Center. <br />D. Heron Rookery <br />Ms. Bor questioned signage for Peltier Island. Mr. Asleson stated the <br />Highway Department makes the signs. We are on bottom of production, low <br />priority. We will eventually get them. <br />Ms. Bor stated the City Council showed interest in the progress and history of <br />what could still be done if anything. Ms. Bor stated she would put together a <br />sheet on progress. <br />It was stated there is a Girl Scout troop that would like to plant trees on the <br />island in August. <br />DRAFT MINUTES 6 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
