The workshop will educate participants about water quality and water <br />conservation and guide them through the construction of their own oak or plastic rain barrel. The City is requesting a <br />$700.00 water quality grant to subsidize the cost of rain barrel kits for up to 20 participants. <br />Environmental Benefits (include habitat, pollutant removal, acres of runoff treated, erosion /sediment <br />control, etc.) <br />See attached page. <br />Project Timeline <br />The workshop will be conducted at the Lino Lakes City Hall or Wargo Nature Center, in April or May 2011. The City will <br />advertise the workshop in the spring 2011 Lino Lakes newsletter. The deadline to submit the rain barrel workshop <br />announcement for the spring 2011 newsletter is January 20, 2011. <br />Special Considerations (any site- or project- specific information that you think warrants special <br />consideration.
