•
•
Environmental
Memo
To: Lino Lakes Environmental Board
From: Marty Asleson
Date: December 12, 2012
Re: Recycling Updates
Included in your packets for recycling updates is a table and graph of the first 3 months of our
monthly Recycle Day and an updated business recycling list compiled by Amanda Lee and
Amy Ulbricht from Anoka County Integrated waste.
The Fire Station 2 can cage is now onsite. It has been painted red instead of green. It is a new
can cage with fresh paint. There is a small version of our logo on it. Please stop by and take a
look if you have a chance. The road sign for the can cage location is ordered and should be
here soon. Quad press has been contacted and Council member Roeser is assisting with
promotion here and at the other two fire stations. The cans for these stations are done but
cannot be placed onsite till the councils for Centerville and Circle Pines approve.
City Hall, police department, fire department, and public works facility now all have
workstation recycling cans. Larger can and bottle recycling containers are also at each of
these sites. The two City Hall entry way cans are on site. The new outdoor recycling carts are
here for our park areas.
Two recycle day post cards were mailed out to residents. One went out in September and one
in October. The tri -fold brochure should be completed and mailed out by December 14, 2012.
Our promotional billboard will be up by December 24th•
• Page 1
