•
•
•
In 2003, the Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) completed a study that identified the infiltration
potential within the watershed. Figure 6 provides a general categorization into five levels of infiltration
potential, ranging from high to low. These levels were assigned by assessing soils, make -up of the sub-
surface geology, estimated content of fine material in the soil profile, and depths to seasonally high water
table. The City of Lino Lakes is identified as having high infiltration potential in the western portion of
the City with medium to low infiltration potential in the eastern portion of the City.
RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT
INFILTRATION IMPLEMENTATION STUDY
INFILTRATION POTENTIAL MAP
SECTION LINES
MAJOR HIGHWAYS
OTHER ROADS
MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES
SURFACE WATER
MAJOR STREAMS
INFILTRATION POTENTIAL
® HIGH
MEDIUM HIGH
MEDIUM
MEDIUM Low
Low
WETLAND COMPLEX/
ORGANIC SOILS
❑ LOCATION OF TEST SITES
ANOKA MOO Nu OSPIN COUMiCf eueelnvE
Approximate
City of Lino Lakes
Boundary
CLEAR LAKE MEADOWS.
/ FOREST LAKE
•
1
TARGET STORE,
LINO LAKES``
SADDLE CLUB
ADDITION,
LINO LAKES
SPIRIT HILLS,
LINO LAKES
L
BETNEL COLLEGE,
ARDEN HILLS
KAT Ill.
',OK NY ONNINO NOM MC AY • LAMM SCALE •ITZ
2 MILES
W( EILMONs
& OLIVIER
RESOURCES
Figure 6.
