ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING March 27, 2013 <br />6. OPEN MIKE <br />Ms. O'Dea closed open mike closed at 6:37 p.m. <br />7. ACTION ITEMS <br />A. Surface Water Management Nan Review <br />Mr. Asleson presented a quick introduction to the Surface Water Management <br />Plan. He introduced Mr. Brett Emmons and Mr. Jason Naber that worked on <br />the review. <br />Mr. Brett Emmons briefly went over some of the main sections of the review. <br />Emmons & Oliver Recourses, Inc. relied on some past studies and pulled <br />together key points from these originals for the review. Included is a 10 year <br />plan that shows the issues, goals and policies along with the cost to reach <br />these goals. <br />There were few comments and clarification from the Environmental Board. <br />Comments will be forward on to the City Council. <br />Ms. O'Dea said the report was very well done. <br />Mr. Heiskary made a motion to approve the Surface Water Management Plan <br />Review. Ms. Andrzejewski seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Events <br />Mr. Asleson stated that Earth Day is Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Wargo <br />Nature Center and it was suggested that there be hand outs on Surface <br />Water Management Information, Emerald Ash Borer fact sheet and <br />display. Ms. Andrzejewski said her students are doing public service <br />announcement and maybe she can get a loop ready to be shown by then. <br />Mr. Asleson stated that Recycle Day is Saturday, May 4, 2013 and new <br />this year will be the recycling of mattress for $15 each and also free paper <br />shedding will be offered. <br />Ms. O'Dea asked if there will be post card and newspaper ad for <br />advertising and Mr. Asleson stated that yes he would do both. <br />DRAFT MINUTES 2 <br />
