Call to Order and Roll Call <br />(The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm. Members present: Katie Boyle, Bill <br />Kusterman, Pat Huelman, and Aaron Frederickson. Members absent: George <br />Lindy, Paul Montain, and Pam Taschuk. Rick DeGardner, Public Services <br />Director, Mike Grochala, Community Services Director, Marty Asleson, <br />Environmental Specialist and Jeff Shoenbauer, Brauer and Associates were also <br />present.) <br />2. Approval of Minutes from March 1, 2004 <br />(Bill Kusterman made a motion, seconded by Katie Boyle to approve the March 31, <br />2004 minutes. The March 1, 2004 minutes were approved.) <br />3. Setting Agenda <br />(There were no additional or deletions to the agenda.) <br />4. Open Mike <br />(Rick Carlson asked the Board if a memorial plaque for the Rehbeins' could be <br />placed near the trailhead in the West Shadow Lake Ponds Development.) <br />5. Joint Meeting with Environmental Board <br />A. Introduction <br />B. Overview of Common Vision Statements from the 20/20 Vision <br />Plan, Comprehensive Plan, Handbook for Environmental <br />Planning and Conservation Development, and the Park and <br />Greenway System Plan <br />C. Consideration of Initial Findings, Related to the Park and <br />Greenway System <br />D. Consideration of Initial Findings, Related to the Trail System Plan <br />E. Consideration of Natural Resources Stewardship Planning Issues <br />F. Consideration of Implementation Challenges and Possible <br />Approaches <br />(Jeff gave an overview of the purpose of the Comprehensive Parks, <br />Recreation Facilities, Open Space /Greenways and Trail System Plan project. <br />There was discussion between the Park Board and the Environmental Board <br />with Jeff Shoenbauer. There will be future meetings to continue discussion <br />on this issue.) <br />6. Recreation Department Update <br />(Rick reviewed the handout in the packet and responded to questions.) <br />
