• <br />Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department <br />600 Town Center Parkway <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br />(651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439 <br />www.ci.lino - lakes.mn.us <br />November 29, 2004 <br />TO: Park Board Members <br />FROM: Mike Hoffman, Parks Supervisor <br />SUBJECT: November Maintenance Update <br />Maintenance projects during the month of November have included: <br />❖ Weekly mowing — we have completed all mowing for the year and are currently <br />winterizing all mowing equipment. <br />❖ Weekly garbage collection as needed. <br />❖ Completed core aerification of all athletic fields. <br />❖ Completed winterization of all irrigation systems. <br />❖ Assisted the Streets Department with crack filling program. <br />❖ Assisted Recreation Department with the Family Turkey Shoot (loaded and unloaded <br />trailer). <br />❖ Poured bench pad (6'x12 ") and installed new 8' bench along new trail off of W. Shadow <br />Lake Drive. <br />❖ Applied fertilizer to approximately 40 acres of turf. <br />❖ Pulled dock at County Lakes Park. <br />❖ Removed 8'x20' trailer from Country Lakes beach. <br />❖ Excavated swale on northwest end of Rice Lake Elementary tunnel to improve drainage <br />of tunnel. <br />❖ Hockey and pleasure rink preparation and repair. <br />❖ Over seeded athletic fields (high wear areas). <br />❖ Top - dressed between hash marks and sidelines of CMS #5 (contracted). <br />❖ Removed and stored soccer nets and goals. <br />❖ Ordered plant material for spring planting. <br />❖ Cut and stump treated Buckthorn in Fawn Lane trail area. <br />❖ Cleaned and winterized wood duck and bluebird houses. <br />❖ Completed Birch Park and Sunrise Park trail edge work (site preparation and seeding). <br />❖ Removed tennis and volleyball nets. <br />❖ Equipment maintenance — winterized and stored summer maintenance equipment, <br />prepped snow removal equipment for winter. <br />• Those are the November's highlights. <br />sw /parkbrd /mike/November 04 Park Update.doc <br />
