• <br />Park Board Meeting - October 27, 2004 <br />Minutes <br />Rick added the winter edition of the Recreation Review is <br />scheduled to be in homes the last week of November. <br />PARKS DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick reviewed a memo from Mike Hoffman, Parks Supervisor, which <br />summarizes the maintenance highlights for October 2004. Rick <br />noted the winterization of the irrigation systems has begun. <br />Staff also assisted the Environmental Coordinator with Recycling <br />Day and Oak Wilt control work using a vibratory plow. <br />Rick added the Highland Meadows Park and Marshan Park Sign <br />projects have been completed. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Rice Lake Estates Park - Rick stated a copy of the letter that <br />was sent to the City of Circle Pines immediately following the <br />October Park Board meeting was included in the packets. <br />Rick advised he did receive a message from Dave Phipps regarding <br />this issue. Mr. Phipps indicated no official action has been <br />taken but they are exploring options. One option is to discuss <br />the pooling of funds with Lino Lakes to develop Baldwin Park. <br />Rick stated City staff would no longer be working with Circle <br />Pines on the utilities for the development until this issue has <br />been resolved. <br />Rick added Park Board members should start thinking about 2005 <br />Goals for the January meeting. He noted he would like to replace <br />playground equipment and make improvements to the field at <br />Birchwood Park. <br />NEXT PARK BOARD MEETING: <br />Chair Lindy advised the next Park Board meeting would be held on <br />December 6, 2004, 6:30 p.m. <br />ADJOURN: <br />Aaron Frederickson made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Pam <br />Taschuk.
