Park Board Meeting - June 6, 2005 <br />Minutes <br />• The June 6, 2005 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was called <br />to order at 6:31 p.m., by Chair Lindy. <br />Roll call was taken, members present were Pam Taschuk, Aaron <br />Frederickson, Pat Huelman, Bill Kusterman, Katie Boyle and Paul <br />Montain, and George Lindy. <br />Also present was Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM MARCH 7, 2005: <br />Paul Montain made a motion, seconded by Pam Taschuk, to approve <br />the March 7, 2005, minutes as presented. The minutes were <br />approved. <br />SETTING AGENDA: <br />There were no changes to the agenda. <br />OPEN MIKE: <br />No one was present for open mike. <br />PARKS AND TRAIL PROJECTS UPDATE: <br />Birchwood Acres Park - Rick stated the majority of work has been <br />completed including: <br />• Regrading <br />• Ag -lime infield installed <br />• New Backstop installed <br />• Irrigation system including bringing water service into <br />the park, pouring slab for irrigation box, and <br />installing irrigation system. <br />The following is scheduled to be completed within the next two <br />weeks: <br />• Running electrical service into the park <br />• Adjusting sprinkler heads <br />• Final grade, seed bed prep, and seed park area <br />• Pave trail <br />• Final restoration of disturbed areas <br />Birch Street Trail Project - Rick advised bids were open on June <br />2. The apparent low bidder appears to be Central Landscaping <br />with a bid amount of $191,650. The engineer's estimate was <br />$220,000. This item is scheduled to go to the City Council for <br />consideration at the June 13 City Council meeting. <br />Rice Lake Estates - Rick stated the City of Circle Pines has <br />indicated that they have retained Flanagan Sales, Inc. for the <br />1 <br />
