Wise kik MOM nM Preliminary Master Plan: The consensus upon review of the three conceptual designs to include into the preliminary master plan of Lino Park is as follows: Prefer the lacrosse sized field oriented East -West in Concept Two to allow for better safety zones around the field to avoid conflict between the field users and the trail users. Prefer the playground location indicated in Concept Two located in the interior of the park for improved safety and reduced noise for the users, as well as the close proximity to the athletic field for parents who may have children using both amenities for easier viewing. Would like a basketball half court included as this is a desirable amenity for many ages, and a half court is safer than a full size court for younger kids. A picnic shelter is desirable in a location that would allow for viewing of the playground and athletic field. The asphalt trail loop with connections to the north and south neighborhoods is seen as very desirable so the residents don't have to use Lake Drive to access the park, or go across the lawn turf areas, which is difficult to do with strollers. A nature trail loop around the pond was found to be desirable with seating areas for viewing. The following graphic illustrates the Preliminary Master Plan that was created based on the comments received from the public and park board noted above. Also included is the Phase One graphic that illustrates the amenities that can be incorporated in an immediate phase with the funds that are available.
