Streets, parking lots, trails, and rinks clean them off, more snow, repeat the process. • Rink maintenance — In addition to all the snow, we also had plenty of cold which allowed us to build ice quickly allowing us to open rinks on December l5t . • Tied new netting onto hockey goals. • Building maintenance. • Equipment maintenance. • Inventoried and maintained wood duck houses. Approximately 125 wood ducklings jumped from 52 boxes placed throughout our park system. Thirty two of the 52 boxes had successful hatches. January: • Rink maintenance — Performed daily maintenance consisting of sweeping, blowing, shoveling and flooding of 4 hockey and 3 pleasure rinks located at Birch, City Hall and Sunrise Parks. • Plowing of streets, cul -de -sacs, parking lots, trails, sidewalks and rinks. • Attended Green Expo at the Minneapolis Convention Center. • Equipment maintenance as needed. • Building maintenance as needed. • Trail widening — With all the snow we received in December and early January we were running out of room to put it. We used our Toolcat with blower to widen the trails to create more snow storage. • Made new cut -outs for "Gobbler Games ". February: • Daily rink maintenance. • Building maintenance. • Structural pruning of young park trees. • Structural pruning and street clearance pruning of boulevard trees.
