The event was planned in collaboration with Blaine and Anoka County Parks and Recreation <br />Departments. <br />• The Sweetheart Dance was enjoyed by 56 preschoolers who brought along a special someone to enjoy music, <br />crafts and snacks. Centennial Community Services was also a part of this annual event. <br />• Fitness classes have been going strong, and we introduced a new class called Latin Cardio Dance this spring and <br />the participants are anxious to see it back this fall. <br />• School's out camps were held over winter break in collaboration with Shoreview, Blaine, Arden Hills Parks and <br />Recreation Departments and Centennial Community Services. The participants enjoyed theme days as well as a <br />day trip the Science Museum to see the Titanic exhibit. <br />• Registration for spring /summer programs are off to a great start, it looks like we will have another successful <br />season of programming for the residents of Lino Lakes. <br />• Special Events to come throughout spring and summer months include: <br />o Kid's Garage Sale — May 8th at Centennial Middle School, 8:30 — 11:30 a.m. <br />o Kite Day — June 5th at Lino Park 10:30 — 11:30 a.m. with demonstrations from the MN Kite Society. <br />o Puppet Shows in the Park — 4 different show dates at local parks, free puppet shows with refreshments <br />and crafts for the kids. <br />• Men's Basketball League just finished its season. The A Squad won the regular season championship and the <br />Shane Express team won the tournament with an impressive undefeated run in the tournament. We had 6 teams <br />in the league this year. <br />• Co -Rec Indoor Soccer league is underway at the Centennial Sports Arena, we have 6 teams in the league this <br />year. <br />• Mens and Co -Rec softball registration has concluded for the Spring /Summer league and we had a total of 29 <br />teams which fills our leagues to capacity. <br />• Floor Hockey Mini -Camp just finished a week ago. We had 16 four and five year old participants in the six week <br />floor hockey camp. <br />
