We have a total of 26 teams in <br />our leagues this spring and summer. <br />• Basket Have a Ball started the first part of April and we have a total of 15 kids participating in the class. <br />• Soccer Mini -Camp has 16 participants in it and is off to a great start. <br />• Baseball Skills class started May 23 and we have 6 participants ages 5 -7 learning baseball skills. <br />• • Youth T -Ball starts the week of May 2. We have 5 sessions in progress and about 50 participants ages <br />3 -6 years old playing. Each child receives a shirt and a medal for participating <br />• <br />• Registrations for the Playground Program and Preschool Playtime are off to a great start. We expect <br />another great summer. <br />o We have 24 top -notch staff working for us this summer, many of whom are returning to work <br />the Playground Program for us for another year. <br />• The Puppet Shows are back this summer and Shoreview Parks and Recreation is kind enough to <br />partner with us again. We have three shows over the course of the summer each night will consist of a <br />puppet show, refreshments and a craft for the children. <br />• Summer camp registrations are also going well. We are offering 2 preschool art camps, 3 elementary <br />age art camps as well as an elementary age science camp this year. We expect to see these camps fill. <br />o Other summer programs include: Dodgeball camp and field trips to the Minnesota Zoo and <br />Bunker Beach Water Park. <br />• Special Events: <br />o Snow Day was held in January and we had a record turnout of over 800 attendees. <br />o Sweetheart Party was held in February and we partnered with Blaine Parks and Recreation as <br />well as Centennial Community Services. There were 124 children and their sweethearts who <br />attended this event. Participants enjoyed refreshments, open gym, a DJ and arts and crafts. <br />o The first ever Princess Party was held in March and planned with Centennial Community <br />Services. There were a total of 114 princesses who participated in arts and craft projects, a <br />fashion show, face painting and got to meet Belle and Cinderella. <br />o Super Hero Boot Camp was a blast. Participants came dressed as their favorite Super Hero and <br />spent the morning partaking in carnival games all with a Super Hero theme. A total of 60 Super <br />
