We had a <br />night of scary fun, completed with haunted trail, gooey guess table, costume contest and more! <br />• Youth instructional classes are going strong this fall. We have full dances classes. Tae Kwon Do is <br />seeing an increase in numbers as new students are taking to the martial arts, and many are <br />returning for continued instruction. <br />• Gobbler Games was held on Saturday, November 5, 2011. We had a great turnout of <br />approximately 250 people. We had great volunteers that helped for the day. A fun event for all. <br />• Zumba® has been a hit. We have had over 20 people register for the class along with an <br />average of 5 walk -ins per night. <br />• The Senior Center has continued to see a large turnout for day trips that are being offered. There <br />is also good turnout for weekly clubs that meet. We have several trips planned for the new year. <br />o The partnership with the Forest Lake Senior Center has continued to work out well. <br />• Recap of Summer Events: <br />o Family Corn Roast and Community was a huge success in its first year. We had an <br />estimated 350 people who came out to enjoy fresh roasted corn, music by the 7 Cats <br />Swing Band, a magician, the bounce house and more! We are excited to do this event <br />next year! <br />o Safety Camp was held August 11 at Blue Heron Elementary. We had over 80 children <br />participate this year. We had a beautiful day for lots of fun and learning. <br />o The Middle School Beach Party had a total of 47 participants this year who were able to <br />spend time at Centerville Beach. Activities include rock climbing wall, kayaking, bounce <br />house and swimming. <br />• Upcoming Events: Secret Holiday Shop, Breakfast with Santa, Letters from Santa, School's Out <br />Camps, Snow Day and more! <br />• The Youth Soccer Season just finished with the culmination of the post season tournament! We <br />had 22 teams participate in the tournament and 36 total teams playing this year. We had 400 <br />kids ages 4 -12 participate in our soccer program this season <br />• The Youth Football league just ended and we had 21 teams and 375 kids participating. All of our <br />4th -8th grade teams participated in the play -offs and we had a handful of teams that won <br />championships this year. <br />9 <br />
