We had great attendance at the <br />following events: <br />• Gobbler Games — 250 attendees <br />• Breakfast with Santa —100 attendees <br />• Secret Holiday Shop —150 attendees <br />• Snow Day — 600 attendees <br />• Sweetheart Party — 130 children <br />• Super Hero Carnival —120 children <br />• Spring Fling —150 children <br />o Upcoming Special Events <br />• Kite Day —June 8 at Rice Lake Elementary <br />• Puppet Shows in the Park — Birch Park (June 26), Highland Meadows Park (July <br />10), Clearwater Creek Park (July 31) <br />• Family Corn Roast and Community Night —July 25 at Sunrise Park <br />• Safety Camp — August 8 at Centennial Middle School <br />• Blue Heron Days — August 16, 17, 18 <br />• The Summer Playground Program starts June 17. We have approximately 400 children <br />participating in this summer program. There are 3 park sites in the morning and 4 in the <br />afternoon. Children play a variety of games, work on craft projects and enjoy visits from police <br />officers, Wargo Naturalists and Fire Fighters. The 22 staff hired to run the program start training <br />on June 10 and should ensure a fabulous summer for all. <br />• The Preschool Playtime program had 31 children enrolled this summer. They enjoyed many of <br />the same activities as the kids at playgrounds. <br />• This summer are conducting a variety of camps such as: Artists Sampler, Drawing I, Drawing II, <br />Little Explorers Art Camp, Scrapbook Camp, Preschool Art Creations and Dodgeball Camp. We <br />expect a terrific turnout for these camps again. <br />• Our Tae Kwon Do and Youth Dance programs will continue to run throughout the summer with <br />great attendance. During the summer we will be conducting classes in the old Early Childhood <br />Center at City Hall. <br />
