• <br />• <br />City Council Meeting <br />City Trail Vacation, Pheasant Hills Preserve 9th Addition, Timberwolf Trail <br />January 13, 2003 <br />ANALYSIS <br />As a result of the above situation, the City has acquired easements for trail purposes from <br />the owners of the properties on which the trail is now sited, and the trail has thus now <br />been both constructed and secured. What is left to accomplish, however, is to vacate the <br />original easement as shown on the Final Plat. City attorney Bill Hawkins has advised <br />staff on this matter, suggesting that the existing park corridor be vacated, with each of the <br />two adjacent property owners receiving one -half of the park corridor land, which would <br />amount to a 10 -foot strip of land along their side property line. <br />CONCLUSION <br />The approval of this trail easement Vacation will conclude and finalize this outstanding <br />issue. <br />OPTIONS <br />1.) Approve the Vacation. <br />2.) Deny the Vacation. <br />3.) Return to staff with direction. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option #1 <br />
