• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 4A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />TO: City Council <br />DATE: June 23, 2003 <br />RE: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Consider 2003 Liquor and Tobacco License <br />Renewals <br />Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required) <br />The 2003 liquor and tobacco licenses are scheduled to be renewed, effective July 1, 2003. <br />The following attached list of establishments have submitted the required applications for <br />renewal, along with the required documentation. <br />Staff has completed the necessary steps to verify that the establishments listed have <br />addressed the application requirements for these licenses. <br />Detective Steve Mortenson of the Police Department has completed the background <br />criminal history checks required, and has indicated there is no information which would <br />lead to a recommendation for denial of the licenses at this time. <br />Approval of the licenses listed is conditioned upon continued compliance with city, state, <br />and federal laws, and upon maintaining proper insurance coverage, being current on <br />required taxes and payments, completion of background checks, and payment of all fees. <br />Please note the renewal list does not include recently approved new liquor and tobacco <br />licenses for Spirit Hills and Eagle Liquor, which will be scheduled for renewal in 2004. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve the 2003 Liquor and Tobacco License Renewal Applications for the <br />attached list of applicants (separate resolution for each establishment will be <br />provided at the June 23 Council Meeting). <br />2. Deny the 2003 Liquor and Tobacco License Renewal Applications. <br />
