OPEN MIKE <br />Chair Schaps declared open mike open at 6:35 p.m.. <br />Mr. Johnson moved to close open mike at 6:35 p.m., and was supported by Mr. Corson. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />VI. ACTION ITEMS <br />A. Martha Houle/Herman Zuettel, 1600 Birch Street, Subdivison <br />Staff advised this case involves a request for a minor subdivision of the property on the <br />south/west corner of Birch Street and Centerville Road. The site is approximately 40 <br />acres in size and zoned Rural. The existing land use map indicates the site as rural. The <br />draft comprehensive plan guides the property for rural develo through 2010 and <br />low /medium density residential on the western edge and co n the eastern edge <br />some time after 2010. There are considerable wetlands particularly on the <br />eastern edge along Centerville Road. <br />A single family home is under construction on <br />area was previously considered for a minor <br />piece from the balance of the site. Staff noted the <br />assessment is reasonable. <br />Mr. Corson asked about the future land use plan for the area. Staff referred to a map <br />indicated the area is in the second growth plan of the draft Comprehensive Plan. The <br />north/east corner is shown as commercial. The balance of the area is low to medium <br />residential. <br />Mr. Rafferty asked if both land users understand the land plan is for after the year 2010. <br />He also asked if there is a completion plan for the house that is under construction.
