• <br />Planning & Zoning Board <br />November 8, 2000 <br />Page 7 <br />Staff asked for the concerns from the Commission at this time on this development. Mr. <br />Rafferty suggested this plan go back to square one and eliminate request for the PUD and <br />increased density. <br />Ms. Lane noted she was not in favor of moving the MUSA line as it would not allow <br />other properties to be granted MUSA. Staff stated the MUSA allocation was only <br />allocated to uplands. He indicated less than 10 acres would be needed for MUSA <br />allocation with the development as proposed. <br />Mr. Schilling noted Old Birch Road would need to be resurfaced before this development <br />could be started. He added that he would like to see lower densities on the end cul -de- <br />sacs to reduce to overall density. <br />Mr. Johnson stated he was in favor of the development as is. He noted concern for Old <br />Birch Road and stated he would like to see a trail through thi $, opment with <br />connections to Birch Park. <br />Chair Schaps indicated he is sensitive to Old Birch <br />indicated there has been several serious accidents a <br />in the area could increase the danger. <br />s near the area.
