On roll Call: <br />AYES: Landers, Mesich, Gelbmann, Schaps <br />NAYS: Schones <br />MOTION CARRIED TO APPROVE PRELIMINARY PLAT. <br />93 -16 -s, Accu -Tool, 7540 4th Ave., Site Plan Review <br />Mr. Brixius reviewed the staff report and indicated that this <br />is a site plan review for an addition to a metal building <br />located in the Apollo Business Park. Mr. Jungman would like <br />to add a 6,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing 3,100 square <br />foot structure. The property is zoned General Industrial G -I, <br />and is approximately 1.6 acres in size. Staff has recommended <br />approval of the request with the conditions listed in the <br />staff report. <br />Mr. Brian Wessel was present and advised the P & Z that this <br />particular request is an important item in relation to <br />development in the Business and Industrial Park. Mr. Wessel <br />explained that he has been working with the owner, Mr. <br />Jungman, and his architect, to design a building that will <br />meet the requirements of the Code, accommodate the existing <br />structure, set a standard for development of the area and yet <br />be economically feasible. EDAB has reviewed this request and <br />believes that balance has been reached and would also <br />recommend approval of this request. <br />Mr. Jungman briefly described the nature of his business. He <br />has been located in Forest Lake for approximately 19 years, <br />owns his buildings there, and manufactures small metal and <br />plastic parts for companies such as 3M. He has purchased the <br />building on 4th Avenue and would like to relocate his business <br />to this site. <br />Mr. Schones asked if there would be any noise created due to <br />3 <br />
