But... on page 4, 4th paragraph from the
bottom, the year 1989 should be changed to 1988.
Secretary's note: Thanks!
Alan Irwin moved to approve the minutes of February 8, 1989
as corrected. Fred Chase seconded the motion, and the motion
was approved unanimously.
7:15 p.m. REQUEST FROM VERN & MARILYN ANDERSON TO GRANT A
STREET EASEMENT FOR ASPEN LANE EXTENDED
The Andersons want to start the subdivision process on the
small parcel of land they own adjacent to D. Erickson's
Subdivision. However, before they start that work, their
lender is asking that access to the property be guaranteed.
The Andersons have visited with their neighbors (Mr. & Mrs.
Miers) and have obtained an easement that will serve as the
site of Aspen Lane Extended.
Mr. & Mrs. Anderson are asking the city to accept the
easement from the Miers. If the board accepts, the bank will
be satisfied on the access question.
Marilyn Anderson stated that they are planning to prepare a
small plat for Council approval. The bank determined that
the Andersons do not have access to their property without
Mr. & Mrs. Miers granting the city a thirty foot easement
over a portion of their southern boundary. The Miers are
willing to grant the easement to the city since they plan to
do some platting in the near future also. The Andersons are
only asking for a 200 foot easement at this time. All other
easements will be dedicated with the plats.
Charles Prokop suggested that a street plan would later be
discussed under NEW BUSINESS.
