•
PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD APRIL 13, 1988
NEW BUSINESS: Chairman Cody led a discussion on the proper
role of Planning and Zoning Board members. In part Cody
raised the issue of "How far can we interject ourselves
after the board completes its official review ?" Prokop
summarized board sentiments by stating members are in a
unique position. Members can cast votes, defend positions
but must identify themselves as citizens outside of Planning
and Zoning Board meetings. Council Member Bisel warned the
members that each group and each board member is viewed by
the public as part of the some cohesive unit. Public
statements should be made by board members after a Planning
and Zoning Board identifies whether the statement represents
board action or personal feelings.
MOTION: Prokop moved to adjourn the meeting and Averback to
seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously and
Chairman Cody declared the meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
•
•
