RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF THE PROPOSED ZONING <br />ORDINANCE REFERENCED AS APPENDIX "B" OF THE CITY CODE. <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />• <br />WHEREAS, <br />The City of Lino Lakes has been granted authority <br />by the State of Minnesota per MS 462.351, to <br />adopt zoning and other official controls to <br />regulate the use, and develop the land in an <br />orderly manner within the City, and <br />The Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Commission <br />desires the City Council to implement these <br />official controls through the land use policies, <br />guidelines, and plan recommendations adopted as <br />part of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of <br />Lino Lakes, and <br />The Planning Commission has worked diligently <br />with the Zoning Ordinance Task Force in evaulating <br />and updating the City's existing zoning Ordinance <br />so as to, in their collective opinion, represent <br />the interest of the residents of the City of Lino <br />Lakes and the City's adopted Comprehensive Plan, <br />and <br />The proposed Zoning Ordinance -shall promote the <br />public health, safety, order, convenience, <br />property and general welfare within the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that: <br />1) The Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Commission <br />hereby recommends that the City Council conduct <br />a Public Hearing pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br />462.357, Subd. 3. <br />2) The Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Commission <br />hereby recommends that the City Council review <br />and take final action on the proposed ordinance <br />by adopting and publishing same. <br />Charles Prokop, Cl irman <br />• <br />John McLean, Vice - Chairman <br />
