9
•
February 10, 1983
Task Force
Page -2-
•tty Hawkins - 6102 Centerville Road - Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins own a lot of the land near
this intersection of 35E and County Road J and they would not like to see commercial
established in this area.
Mrs. Hawkins asked about a parcel of land they own that has been cut off from the rest
of their land by the freeway. Mr. Short explained that there are several parcels of
land like this. If the land has the proper street frontage and meets the ordinance
in every other manner and no additional land could be added to the parcel to bring
it up to 10 acres then it is considered a lot of record and buildable.
Mr. Short felt that by designating these areas near the two intersections (35E and County
Road J and 35E and County Road 14) as rural requiring 10 acres minimum lot size helps
save the land for another look at another time.
Mr. Vaughn asked if you were to split a 10 acre lot from another parcel would you be
required to provide an over all resubdivision plan including streets for the 10 acre
parcel to obtain a building permit. Mr. Johnson said, yes.
Mr. Vaughn asked if you could sell one acre and declare the remaining nine acres would
be reserved. Mr. Short said this would be an administrative nightmare.
Mr. Johnson noted that the next quadrant meeting would be Tuesday, February 15, 1983
for the NW quadrant and it will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The last quad-
rant meeting will be held February 17, 1983 for the SW Quadrant at the 49 Club.
ill/e meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
