Mr. Johnson was absent. Mr. Kluegel was also present.
MINUTES - OCTOBER 13, 19 82
Mr. Prokop wanted the minutes broken down into separate minutes. Correct minutes
into separate segments. Mr. Prokop moved that the P &Z minutes for October 13, 1982
be tabled and retyped. Seconded by Mr. Doocy. Motion carried unanimously.
MIKE KENNEY - AMENDED SPECIAL USE PERMIT
In addition to his existing floral shop, Mr. Kenney would like to assemble and
sell unpainted furniture. He would have a few items of furniture on display
with the majority of his business being catalog sales. The property is
presently zoned Commercial. The land use plan designates this area as Rural
Residential. Mr. Prokop questioned the controls necessary to prevent the
business from what would be allowed. Mr. Kenney said that no more than 40%
of his garage would be devoted to his business of assembling furniture.
Mr. Juleen felt that this request was compatible with the area due to the other
business uses in the vicinity.
Mr. Juleen moved to approve this amended special use permit with the stipulation
that no further outbuildings be allowed and that any intensification of the use
l " econded by Mrs. Klaus. nvc %, zz_e_ ( _
be re vi Seconded
i L l - LG !✓ /L'C.) There is a lack of
communication between the P &Z Board and the Council. The minutes must be
more explicit; they have been late and incomplete. The Council must have
complete minutes summarized. Liason activity doesn't exist, Administration
should be present at the P &Z meetings. The Clerk should take P &Z minutes.
Administration should follow through on existing ordinances. The suggestion
is that the administrator should be the zoning official. The Council should
act on the P &Z minutes. The administrator should be available for consultation.
This was the concensus of the P &Z Board.
NEW BUSINESS
Land Use Planning Workshops are going to be given on November 30, 1982.
Mrs. Klaus and Mr. Goldade expressed interest in attending.
Mr. Kluegel was asked to check out the nature of operations at the
Harold Bisel and Dennis Wegan residences.
Mr. McLean moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Doocy. Aye.
