Planning and Zoning <br />April 14, 1982 <br />Page Three <br />Mr. Doocy asked if when homes are sold, is it completed, or are the buyers <br />allowed to do some of their own work? Mr. Karth said they have the option <br />of completing any portion that they are qualified to doe. He said, even <br />though the options are available, very few take advantageoof the options, <br />basically, because both parties are woking and do not have the time. <br />There was discussion on the various sizes of the homes, the cost, the <br />monthly payments and the effects of these aspects in relationship to the <br />ability to purchase a home. <br />There was also discussion on the status of the present interest rates deal- <br />ing with the possibility of lower rates and how far they could drop or if <br />there is a possibility of a drop at all. <br />Mr. McLean moved to table the request for a variance for a reply to be <br />presented on the recommendation of the Council for a study on the smaller <br />homes impact. Seconded by Mr. Prokop. Motion carried unanimously. <br />A recess was called at this point in the meeting. The meeting reconvened. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. Kluegel reported that Mr. Szymanski had withdrawn his request for a <br />variance for the small parcel of land on West Rondeau. <br />Mrs. Lee Peick had withdrawn her request for a kennel license - she had <br />got rid of the dogs she had. <br />Mobile Home Park Fees.- Mr. Marier had requested the Planning and Zoning <br />to define a 'Hardship' in relationship to issuing a trailer permit. Mr. <br />Reinert suggested that criteria should be established. <br />There was some discussion on this with Mr. Kluegel pointing out the require - <br />as set forth in the new zoning ordinance. <br />The meeting was turned over to Mr. Bill Short, City Planning Consultant, <br />to present the work done on the zoning Ordinance in conjunction with the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. McLean moved to adjourn.Seconded by Mr. Prokop. Aye. <br />• <br />
