Goal Setting Meeting — January 4, 2001 Minutes • Rick reviewed the information in the packets for the goal setting meeting. • There was discussion on the wheels program. Members talked about the liability issue, other communities that have one, and the demand for such a facility. After discussion members decided to release the following dedicated funds: Wheels Project $10,000 Trail renovation funds throughout trail system back into trails $ 9,200 Funds to pave Behm's Development back into trails to continue the linear trail system $35,000 Release the excess funds for City Hall Park West improvements $ 2,667 Release parks and trail improvements funds to complete the Black Duck Trail $27,444 Members decided they wanted to leave $12,000 - $15,000 in the Park Dedication Fund for a reserve. Pat's Recommendations: Reserve - $10,000 - $15,000 Wanted money used for a trail connection from Birch Park to Trappers Crossing 1/2 court basketball courts throughout the park system Paul's Recommendations: Reserve — $15,000 Use $50,000 for Pheasant Hills trail to Regional Park Reserve Use $15,000 to $20,000 for grading green space in Quail Ridge Park Use $15,000 to $20,000 for Clearwater Creek Park $15,000 for Marshan Park grading and turf establishment Chris's Recommendations: Chris would like to see some money go to the Quail Ridge Park Would like to see $5,000 for benches, sand volleyball, and horseshoes Pam's Recommendations: Reserve - $10,000 Would like to see some money go towards the renovation of the ballfield at Sunset Oaks Park 1/2 court basketball court in Sunset Oaks Park Finish Marshan Park George's Recommendations: Acquire land and finish trail to Trappers Crossing Money for a east or west trail connection in Quail Ridge Bill's Recommendations: Finish trail to Trappers Crossing Quail Ridge trail Trail from Pheasant Hills to Regional Park Reserve Some improvements in Country Lakes Parks
