• <br />• <br />• <br />Park Board Meeting - February 5, 2001 <br />Minutes <br />Pam Taschuk made a motion, seconded by Michael O'Connor, to ask <br />for 100% cash dedication for the Land Holding Group Development. <br />The developer should make sure potential homeowners along Holly <br />Drive are aware a future trail may be placed within the existing <br />right -of -way. The motion passed. <br />DISCUSSION ON CONCEPT PLAN OF SPIRIT HILLS DEVELOPMENT: <br />Rick advised the Planning Department recently received a concept <br />plan of the Spirit Hills Development located near Apitz Garage, <br />on the north side of Birch Street. The proposed development is a <br />mix of neighborhood business, townhomes, and single- family homes. <br />The Comprehensive Parks and Trails System Plan indicates a Class <br />Level II Transportation Trail along Birch Street and State <br />Highway #49. It is intended that both tr 'ls are located within <br />the existing road right -of -way. <br />The Shenandoah Third Addition Developme ocated directly <br />east of the Spirit Hills Development. e ity has secured a <br />trail corridor at the north end of Ho ive to connect to the <br />future Regional Park Reserve Trail m. ". nd trail connections prior to <br />the plans being finalized 'ndicated that at this point, he <br />does not foresee any nee or trils in the Spirit Hills <br />Development. <br />Acting Chair Huelman a ed if staff is familiar with the County <br />path plan. Rick advise the intent is to continue on the north <br />side of Birch Street to Hodgson Road. Everything to the north <br />and west of this development is the regional park area. <br />Mr. Huelman asked about the possibility of a trail connection <br />within the regional park area. Rick advised that a trail <br />connection would be very difficult due to wetland issues. <br />Pat questioned where the neighborhood park would be for residents <br />within this development. Rick advised Rice Lake Elementary <br />School and Shenandoah Park are the closest park areas. <br />Acting Chair Huelman inquired about the location of the <br />commercial development.
