• <br />Outdoor Recreation Grant <br />Clearwater Creek Park — Lino Lakes <br />4 of 8 <br />Item 8. Public Hearing <br />The Public Hearing to obtain citizen input on the proposed Outdoor Recreation <br />Grant Application was held at the February 12, 2001 City Council Meeting. This <br />Public Hearing followed normal public hearing notice requirements (Exhibit C). <br />The minutes of the February 12, 2001 Public Hearing are attached (Exhibit D). <br />Item 9. Projected Operation and Maintenance Costs <br />The City of Lino Lakes Parks Department will be responsible for the operations <br />and maintenance of Clearwater Creek Park. The estimated maintenance costs <br />for the various time periods are listed below: <br />Annually - $4,400 <br />Turf Maintenance - mowing, seeding, etc. $2,500 <br />Sweep trails twice per year $ 500 <br />Plow internal trails during winter months for pedestrian use $ 500 <br />Bi- weekly playground inspections $ 500 <br />Sweep basketball court twice per year $ 200 <br />Sift/clean safety surface of playground area $ 200 <br />Every 3 - 5 Years - $3,250 <br />• Import Engineered wood fiber safety surface in playground area $2,000 <br />Import/replace sand for sand volleyball court $ 750 <br />Prune trees as needed $ 500 <br />Every 10 Years - $7,800 <br />Sealcoat/Overlay trails $3,000 <br />Resurface basketball court $2,500 <br />Paint/refurbish gazebo $2,000 <br />Paint /refurbish entrance sign $ 300 <br />Every 20 Years - $72,000 <br />Replace playground equipment $60,000 <br />Replace basketball court $12,000 <br />Item 10. Park and Recreation Organization <br />The City of Lino Lakes has a formally established Park and Recreation Board. <br />This Board provides advice to the City Council on matters relating to park <br />acquisition, planning and development, and recreational programs. This seven <br />member advisory board is established by the Lino Lakes City Code - Chapter <br />211. Members are appointed by the City Council to serve staggered three year <br />terms. <br />The Park and Recreation Board meets the first Monday of every month in the <br />Council Chambers at City Hall. Meetings are broadcast on the local cable <br />
