• Outdoor Recreation Grant Clearwater Creek Park — Lino Lakes 4 of 8 Item 8. Public Hearing The Public Hearing to obtain citizen input on the proposed Outdoor Recreation Grant Application was held at the February 12, 2001 City Council Meeting. This Public Hearing followed normal public hearing notice requirements (Exhibit C). The minutes of the February 12, 2001 Public Hearing are attached (Exhibit D). Item 9. Projected Operation and Maintenance Costs The City of Lino Lakes Parks Department will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of Clearwater Creek Park. The estimated maintenance costs for the various time periods are listed below: Annually - $4,400 Turf Maintenance - mowing, seeding, etc. $2,500 Sweep trails twice per year $ 500 Plow internal trails during winter months for pedestrian use $ 500 Bi- weekly playground inspections $ 500 Sweep basketball court twice per year $ 200 Sift/clean safety surface of playground area $ 200 Every 3 - 5 Years - $3,250 • Import Engineered wood fiber safety surface in playground area $2,000 Import/replace sand for sand volleyball court $ 750 Prune trees as needed $ 500 Every 10 Years - $7,800 Sealcoat/Overlay trails $3,000 Resurface basketball court $2,500 Paint/refurbish gazebo $2,000 Paint /refurbish entrance sign $ 300 Every 20 Years - $72,000 Replace playground equipment $60,000 Replace basketball court $12,000 Item 10. Park and Recreation Organization The City of Lino Lakes has a formally established Park and Recreation Board. This Board provides advice to the City Council on matters relating to park acquisition, planning and development, and recreational programs. This seven member advisory board is established by the Lino Lakes City Code - Chapter 211. Members are appointed by the City Council to serve staggered three year terms. The Park and Recreation Board meets the first Monday of every month in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Meetings are broadcast on the local cable
