➢ Park Tree Planting: <br />. 135 bare root trees were planted in the following parks: <br />Behm's 17 <br />Marshan 33 <br />Wenzel Farms 3 <br />Wenzel Farms Trail 10 <br />Sunrise 21 <br />Birchwood Acres 9 <br />Rice Lake Estates 5 <br />Birch 5 <br />Pheasant Hills 6 <br />City Hall 4 <br />Sunset Oaks 22 <br />All trees have been watered in and wood chip mulched. A special thanks goes out to the Friends <br />of the Parks Foundation who donated over $1000.00 worth of plant material (50 trees) for this <br />year's plantings. <br />➢ Purchase of JD4100 Tractor. <br />This unit will become our primary ballfield groomer. In addition to the groomer we also <br />added a tiller, front broom, and front blade making it a very versatile piece of equipment. It <br />is so new and shiny I almost hate to get it dirty. <br />➢ Broadleaf Weed Control. <br />Treated sites include Centennial Middle School, Rice Lake Elementary School, Sunrise Park, <br />Birch Park, Marshan, Lino, City Hall, Rice Lake Estates, Behm's, Town Center, the Fire <br />Station, and all well houses. <br />➢ Fence repair along trail in Miller's South Glen. <br />➢ Garbage Pickup. <br />Those are May's major highlights.
