This agreement secures a 10' wide trail easement to
provide a trail connection from Trappers Crossing Court to Birch Park. A legal description will
be established upon completion of the trail project to fulfill the requirements of the purchase
agreement.
We are currently soliciting bids for the Birch Park Trail Project. This project includes the
installation of approximately 315' of timber boardwalk, and a timber staircase including planters
and concrete pavers. The Parks Department will be taking care of all landscaping and planting.
The project schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, July 2 — Sealed bid opening.
Monday, July 8 — City Council receives bids and awards contract.
Monday, July 15 — Construction begins.
Friday, August 30 — Project completion.
I have attached the following construction documents to give you a better perspective of what the
Birch Park Trail Project will look like upon completion.
• Overall site plan
• Timber staircase site plan
• Detail sheets
RD:sw
Att.
sw /parkbrd/meeting information/Birch Park Trail Update 6- 21- 02.doc
