CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 5, 2000 TOWN CENTER DESIGN STANDARDS, JEFF SMYSER Staff advised Council Members have received a copy of the public hearing draft dated March 30, 2000. The Planning and Zoning Board has had five (5) special meetings regarding the design standards. Staff has discussed the standards with the CEPTED Officer and landowners. Staff noted landowners have also received a copy of the draft. A special Council meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2000, 5:30 p.m., to discuss the design standards with the Planning and Zoning Board. A public hearing will be held at the Planning and Zoning Board meeting immediately following the special meeting. When the Planning and Zoning Board is comfortable with the design standards, it will come before Council for action. The design standards will be discussed at a future Council work session. Council directed staff to post the Planning and Zoning Board meeting, April 12, 2000, to enable Council Members to attend. Council Member Carlson requested staff make sure the reside , • �! Meetings with the other landowners will be held next week. The intent of the meeting is to address their concerns regarding land use. Staff will be putting together a list of options to move forward. The options will be discussed at the April 19, 2000, Council work session. Staff advised they would recognize the requests from homeowners and then look at various options for actual development and priorities. Staff will request Council direction regarding the projects and how to proceed. • Staff added the final market study from Gibbs has been received.
