• <br />• <br />• <br />Lino Lakes Community Service Award <br />This award is designed to recognize individuals who have made a significant contribution(s) to <br />the community. Contributions could come in — but not limited to - the areas of community <br />service, enhancing the environment or quality of life, volunteerism, lifetime service. The <br />Director of Administration will supervise the program. <br />Nominating Committee <br />The committee would consist of one council <br />member, and one member of each of our four <br />advisory boards. The make -up of the <br />committee would change each year (part of our <br />annual appointment process). This committee <br />would evaluate the applications and select two <br />recipients. <br />Nominations <br />Both the nominator and nominee must be Lino <br />Lakes residents. The application would consist <br />of an essay. The essay would include: <br />➢ a brief biography of the nominee, <br />D a list of accomplishments, <br />D rationale for choosing this individual to <br />receive the award. <br />Award <br />Recipients would receive a plaque, which <br />would be presented at a council meeting by the <br />mayor on behalf of the community. The names <br />of the recipients will also be placed on a plaque <br />at city hall. An article highlighting the winners <br />of the Lino Lakes Community Service Award <br />would be published in fall newsletter. <br />Time Line <br />A newsletter article requesting applications <br />will be published in the summer and fall city <br />newsletter (the last weeks of May & August) . <br />An article will be placed in the quad press as <br />well as a notice on the government channel. <br />Deadline for receiving applications will be <br />September 8. <br />The nominating committee will meet prior to <br />22 September to consider applications.
