City of Lino Lakes <br />Park Board Meeting <br />March 6, 2000 <br />The March 6, 2000 City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br />called to order at 6:30pm, by Chair Lindy. <br />Roll call was taken, members present were Pam Taschuk, Joe Boyle, <br />Paul Montain, Pat Huelman, George Lindy, Jeff Reinert, and Chris <br />Wesland. <br />Also present were Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director, <br />Sandie Wood, Office Manager. <br />APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 7, 2000 MINUTES: <br />Pam Taschuk made a motion, seconded by Chris Welsand, to approve <br />the February 7, 2000 minutes. The minutes were approved. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA: <br />The agenda was passed as presented. <br />OPEN MIKE: <br />No one was present for open mike. <br />REVIEW REVISED PRELIMINARY PLAT - <br />Rick advised the Park Board disc <br />Preliminary Plat at the Octobe <br />development is located on the <br />Wood Duck Trail and Bluebil <br />identified 72 single- family <br />acres. <br />A few months ago the <br />existing right -of -wa <br />abuts the Bluebill Pon <br />existing right -of -way w <br />L PONDS: <br />the Bluebill Ponds <br />99, meeting. The 35 -acre <br />side of Main Street, between <br />The preliminary plat <br />and a park dedication of 2.26 <br />epartment became aware of an <br />e north edge of Mardon Acres which <br />s Development. The purpose for the <br />s to allow public access to the northern <br />side of lots of Mardon Acres so they could subdivide. <br />Neighborhood meetings have confirmed the residents desire to have <br />a street. This requires a 30' right -of -way dedication on the <br />southern edge of Bluebill Ponds (Street E). <br />This street location will eliminate any additional parkland <br />adjacent to the existing Highland Meadows Park. Therefore, it <br />appears that the park dedication for the Bluebill Ponds <br />Development will be 100 percent cash. This is estimated to be <br />approximately $95,000. <br />Jeff stated the development is 35 acres and asked why the park is <br />only 2.26 acres. Rick advised the balance of the park dedication <br />will be paid in cash. Outlot D in Highland Meadows, just east of <br />the existing parkland, could possibly be acquired by the City for <br />1 <br />
