Shafer Contracting shall provide communication <br />to the City stipulating this completion date along with a bond or letter of credit in an <br />amount determined by the City Engineer to guarantee site restoration. <br />The MOTION was supported by Mr. Schilling. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />Mr. Johnson made a MOTION to close the public hearing at 7:25 p.m., and was <br />supported by Ms. Lane. He <br />expressed concern r:= ding the language "appropriate manner" used in the provisions. <br />He clarified that each case will be reviewed by staff, Planning and Zoning, and the City <br />Council. <br />Chair Schaps suggested the language be changed to read "in a manner approved by the <br />City ". <br />Mr. Johnson asked if there is a limit to screening height. He also suggested the language <br />in the provisions be cleaned up. He stated he would prefer that a storage area not abut a <br />paved street. Staff advised if a variance must be granted for a fence higher than 10 feet. <br />A provision regarding storage areas not abutting a paved street would restrict H. & L. <br />Mesabi Inc. and other sites along 74th Street. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
