Planning & Zoning Board <br />January 12, 2000 <br />Page 12 <br />Mr. Houchins advised the Board will make recommendations. The Board wants a <br />commitment from the City Council that the recommendations will be considered. <br />Chair Schaps asked if recommendations for specific areas will be made. <br />Mr. Houchins stated the Board will take sections of the City and carefully go through <br />them. Recommendations about each section will be made. <br />Mr. Corson asked about an area that is forested north/east of Lake Amelia. <br />Mr. Houchins indicated there is a large area of wetlands north/east of Lake Amelia. <br />Staff advised the recommendations in the plan are important and the City will try to <br />implement them in the future. Some recommendations, such as preservation <br />development and conservation easements, have already been ented. <br />B. EDAC Update <br />Mr. Johnson advised EDAC wants to get more inv <br />development within commercial/industrial site <br />for 15 possible sites. EDAC would like to <br />for these sites.
