COUNCIL MINUTES DECEMBER 20, 1999 <br />Mayor Sullivan asked Mr. Nordness if they wish to withdraw the application and request <br />additional time. <br />Mr. Nordness stated that he would withdraw the application and postpone consideration for a <br />period of ninety (90) days to see if the concerns can be addressed. <br />Mr. Smyser asked if this indication should be in writing. <br />Mr. Nordness stated that is not an issue. <br />Consider Highland Meadows East Final Plat (3/5 Vote Required) - Jeff Smyser - Staff <br />advised the application is for a final plat approval of Highland Meadows East consisting of six <br />(6) residential lots and two (2) outlots. It was noted the final plat conforms with the approved <br />preliminary plat but the plat actually creates only four (4) new house sites, as two (2) lots already <br />have houses. The City Attorney has approved the title work and the City En:ineer has reviewed <br />the grading and drainage plan and recommended approval. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve Highland Meadows <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion. She stated that it was found these goals actually fit with the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan and the Springsted report was in error. <br />Mr. Smyser stated he conducted an analysis and found the numbers are entirely reasonable,from <br />1995 to 2010. <br />Mayor Sullivan noted the issue tonight is to consider whether the City should continue <br />participation in the Livable Communities Act so the grant can be used. <br />14 <br />
