•
The park has not been used as it is now and playground equipment would be a great way
to get more use out of the park area.
This would be a great addition to our neighborhood and one that was promised when we
moved in.
But, what is the cost? What will we be assessed on our taxes?
Finally! Thank you. Playground equipment and a ballfield with backstop and bases would
be nice. Tennis courts would be great!
It would be great if something would be included for the older children as well as the
younger ones. Maybe a small area setup for playing sports like football, baseball, basket-
ball.
Having new playground equipment would be great if something can be done about the
terrible bug problem in the park area. The gravel area around the boardwalk should be
finished so rollerblading can go smoother.
Finally.
We are very interested in moving this project forward. Please let us know how we can
help!
• Absolutely no organized ball field of any sort. Tables /benches would be nice around the
•
playground area.
Be prepared for some opposition from one neighbor whose house backs up to the park.
They don't have kids and wanted the area to remain wooded. A real joy!
I would not be in favor of playground equipment in Bradywood Park. I back up to the park
and was one of the first to move in back on White Oak. The mosquitos are so bad in the
summer our children don't play there. I moved to Lino from an area that had a park with
equipment. The kids played on backyard sets and the only ones using the equipment were
older kids as a hangout smoking cigarettes. Most of my neighbors with kids have sets in
their backyard and I just don't think it will be used. The city keeps the park mowed very
nice and its great for rollerblading and biking. I would like to see it left natural. We went
through this a few years ago with the City Council and the neighborhood really became
divided over this issue. One family moved.
When equipment is placed please be sure to leave open space in the park. Place equipment
to the side of the park or in a corner.
I hope the location of the equipment wouldn't interfer w /the open - grassy area of the park.
C: \PM65 \Resident Survey.p65
