Staff added that all correspondence relating to this issue is being sent certified <br />mail. <br />This item will appear on the agenda at the regular Council meeting Monday, October 25, <br />1999, 6:30 p.m. <br />UPDATE ON PERMIT PROCEDURES - LINDA WAITE SMITH <br />Staff distributed a memo regarding the Sequence of Events Related to Building Permits. <br />Staff noted that after the storms last summer, the City Council discussed whether permits <br />would be required to repair storm damage at an Emergency Council meeting held on May <br />16, 1998, and at a Council work session on May 20, 19998. A reminder should also be <br />put in the FEMA file. <br />Council also directed staff to provide an update regarding this issue at the October 11, <br />1999, regular Council meeting. <br />DISCUSS SENIOR CENTER RENTAL <br />Staff advised an organization has contacted the Senior Center about having a weekly <br />meeting there for a fee of $50 per week. The Senior Center would like Council to <br />provide approval for the rental in writing. <br />
