COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 11, 1999 <br />DISBURSEMENTS: <br />Manual September Disbursements <br />($900,369.68) <br />October 11, 1999 <br />(Ck. #57137 - 57214, $972,314.95) <br />Centennial Fire District <br />October 11, 1999 <br />Approved <br />Approved <br />Approved <br />Mayor Sullivan reminded those present of the guidelines for audience participation in City <br />Council meetings, emphasizing the need for respectful dialog. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Mr. Tom Jackson, Building Inspector, came forward and stated the Council reviously received a <br />copy of a letter from employees of the City indicating that supporting • ing Linda Waite <br />Smith as City Administrator will be good for the community. <br />Mr. Jackson continued stated the purpose of the letter is to s ov fielming support for <br />Ms. Waite Smith. He noted that the City should not d e p ut try to move forward. <br />Council thanked staff for caring enough to show R = ort for Ms. Waite Smith. <br />Council determined that discussions r ate Smith will be held at the next Council <br />work session. <br />Mr. John Rolaff, resident o <br />community. He thanked the City for doing a fine job. <br />Mr. Rolaff stated that a birthday party is being held for his son on October 17, 1999, at the New <br />Brighten Eagles Club. He invited everyone present to come and celebrate his son's first outing. <br />Mr. Don Dunn, 6885 Black Duck Drive, came forward and expressed concern regarding the <br />attitude of some Council Members regarding variance requests. He stated that only Mayor <br />Sullivan and Council Member Neal are consistent with their votes relating to variances. He <br />stated the citizens of Lino lakes are being unfairly represented. He asked that the City do one of <br />two (2) things: Challenge staff to complete documentation of requested variances and approval <br />for Ms. Walseth's fence be put back on the table and denied or the permit application for Mr. <br />Lambrecht be resubmitted and approved. <br />No one else appeared for open mike. <br />2 <br />
