COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 12, 1999 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER Consideration of Accepting Resignation of Tom Decheine, Streets Maintenance Worker - Mr. Tom Decheine has submitted his resignation from the Public Works Department. Mr. Decheine has been a valuable employee for the City of Lino Lakes since 1984. Council Member Bergeson moved to accept Mr. Tom Decheine's resignation as presented and wished him well. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Consideration of Hiring Street General Maintenance Worker Chad Havel - Staff recommended Mr. Chad Havel be considered for the General Maintenance- Streets position. Mr. Havel is currently working as a seasonal employee with the Public Works Department. Mr. Havel's beginning salary will be $13.76 per hour plus benefits. This position is eligible for membership in the 49er' s Union. A physical examination and drug test will be required prior to Mr. Havel's becoming a full -time employee. SECOND READING, Ordinance No. 16 - 99, Sale of op 9', Behm's Century Farm - The first reading of Ordinance No. 16 - 99, was June 28, 1999, City Council meeting.
