COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 12, 1999 <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />Consideration of Accepting Resignation of Tom Decheine, Streets Maintenance Worker - <br />Mr. Tom Decheine has submitted his resignation from the Public Works Department. Mr. <br />Decheine has been a valuable employee for the City of Lino Lakes since 1984. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to accept Mr. Tom Decheine's resignation as presented and <br />wished him well. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Hiring Street General Maintenance Worker Chad Havel - Staff <br />recommended Mr. Chad Havel be considered for the General Maintenance- Streets position. Mr. <br />Havel is currently working as a seasonal employee with the Public Works Department. <br />Mr. Havel's beginning salary will be $13.76 per hour plus benefits. This position is eligible for <br />membership in the 49er' s Union. A physical examination and drug test will be required prior to <br />Mr. Havel's becoming a full -time employee. <br />Council Member Lyden hire to approve Mr. Chad Havel as a Gen <br />Employee. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. Mot` <br />ce- Streets <br />ously. <br />SECOND READING, Ordinance No. 16 - 99, Sale of op 9', Behm's Century Farm <br />- The first reading of Ordinance No. 16 - 99, was June 28, 1999, City Council <br />meeting. This ordinance relates to the sale of 2.5 parkland in exchange for the <br />development of the remaining park area. r�.-< ncludes clearing and grubbing, <br />grading, four (4) inches of top soil imp. an construction of trails including <br />engineering, four (4) inches of su s , o ) inches of bituminous paving. Mr. Uhde has <br />agreed to provide a summary . \ Wg ent osts. If these costs amount to less than $75,000 <br />the difference will be sub <br />Staff noted that the le <br />has changed. The purc <br />regarding the summary <br />as been changed from the first reading but nothing substantive <br />a eement will be changed to include Mr. Uhde's obligation <br />development costs and a cash payout. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to approve the SECOND READING of Ordinance No. 16 - <br />99, as presented. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. <br />Council Member Bergeson voted yea. Council Member Dahl voted yea. Council Member Lyden <br />voted yea. Council Member Neal voted yea.
