CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AUGUST 18, 1999 <br />indicated that discussion of the survey would be on the next CAG meeting agenda and the <br />goal is to include a survey in the next issue of the city's quarterly newsletter. <br />OASIS MARKET /AMOCO -CUP, MARY KAY WYLAND <br />Staff requested this item be continued to the September 8, 1999, Council work session <br />because this evening the applicant had a schedule conflict. <br />Staff acknowledges that overnight parking of trucks on private property and the need to <br />minimize the effect of that on the adjoining property owners has been a concern. <br />Furthermore, an overhead lighting plan will be submitted and additional information on <br />the pond should arrive next week. <br />Council directed staff to research the current noise ordinance as it pertains to noise after <br />10:00 p.m. <br />This item will be discussed at the September 8, 1999, Council work <br />JAMES LAMBRECHT - VARIANCE, MARY KAY W <br />Mayor Sullivan advised she has discussed this <br />advised to attend this evening's meeting if <br />reevaluation of his request. During that discussion, the concept of the City taking <br />over ownership and operation of the rink was offered. This concept was presented to the <br />Director of Public Services on August 9, 1999, for consideration. It was determined that <br />it is not feasible and/or advisable for the City to own and operate this rink. <br />The developer of Oak Brook Peninsula recently contacted the City regarding their Letter <br />of Credit as requested in the Development Contract for improvements. In a recent <br />meeting with City staff, the developer's engineer indicated that during construction Rice <br />Creek Watershed District approved the change in compensatory storage. Although the <br />City has no documentation showing an alteration of the grading plan was approved, the <br />developer's engineer indicated he would find and submit this information to the City at <br />his earliest convenience.
