I/A.
Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
600 Town Center Parkway
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
(651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439
October 26, 1999
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director
SUBJECT: Potential Park Area in Clearwater Creek Development Center
At the October Park Board meeting, Park Board members directed me to discuss the potential
park land acquisition with the developer of the Clearwater Creek Development Center. The
developer indicated an assumption that the city would purchase the proposed 4.7 acres of land
for market value which is approximately $40,000 per acre. I expressed that the city is not able to
afford market prices for this parcel of land but we would be interested in working with the
developer in providing current and future park dedication credit. This was not acceptable.
Therefore, it appears the potential park in this area is a dead issue.
RD:sw
sw /parkbrd /Potential Park Area in Clearwater Creek Development Center.doc
•
