Mr. Schumacher read the inscription on the plaque <br />e Parks Department staff. <br />HEALTH INSURANCE BRIDGE, DAN TESCH & MARY VASKE <br />Previously, Council had directed staff to prepare a "financial bridge" for persons near <br />retirement. The Finance Department has many questions regarding this matter. <br />Currently, Police Officers are eligible for early retirement at age 55 and other staff are <br />eligible for retirement at age 58. Is Council considering offering a "bridge" until the <br />retired employee reaches age 62 or is Council considering a "bridge" until the retired <br />employee reaches age 65? It was noted that no employee is eligible for retired medical <br />benefits (Medicaid) until they reach age 65. <br />
