' would bring pedestrian traffic to <br />Ivy Ridge Lane, which is a privat'�' n M "' subdivision. The City is also <br />requesting easements over b a ee `'allow pedestrian traffic exit the townhome <br />subdivision. <br />Mrs. Shirley Patte .res -'ng the Wenzel Farms Townhomes Association <br />explained iation is concerned about public use of their private streets as <br />trails. The t concern is the liability issue. Mrs. Patterson presented three (3) <br />options for i� " 4`o i1 to consider. The Association would like to see Ivy Ridge Lane <br />P vY g <br />become a ci °e treet thereby relieving the Association of any liability. <br />Mr. Ahrens was not in favor of Ivy Ridge Lane becoming a city street because it would <br />set precedence. His basic concern in this subdivision is that the townhomes are set to <br />close to the street and the street does not meet the specifications for a City street. <br />After further discussion, it was decided that further information was needed. Staff was <br />directed to have the City Attorney determine what the City owns and provide written <br />options for settlement of this problem. Staff was also directed to obtain the Park Board <br />response as to exactly where the trails should be located, and have Mr. Ahrens and Mr. <br />DeGardner determine what is needed for the south boundary trail. Staff was further <br />directed to give the City Attorneys response to Mrs. Patterson so that she can discuss the <br />matter with the Townhome Association board. <br />
