An <br />understanding of the composition and characteristics of soils before and after <br />construction activities is something we have discussed several times. <br />I have copied some information from a text book called "Turfgrass Management" by <br />A.J. Turgeon and Technical reports from 'Watershed Protection Techniques, Vol.3, <br />No.2, January 2000; `Technical Note 107 and 108" for your review. The Turgeon <br />Book describes the interface dynamics of modified turf situations and the Watershed <br />Protection Techniques Technical Reports discuss the increase in bulk density of <br />construction sites and remedial steps that may be taken. <br />• Page 1 <br />
