12/2U/2101M bl:44171tllli
FROM : NORTH AMERICAN PRAIRIES CO
KJULt'IHUU =MIK =KV rMUt U4
PHONE NO. : 320 274 5316 Dec. 19 2000 12 :55PM P3
success of the project. Because of the site and condition of this project a
longer line should have been drawn into the original plans. The initial
time line to install the project was one season. This was in retrospect,
pushing the limits of what could be effectively done with a site of this
magnitude, considering the size of the project area and the massive
infestation of hearty exotic and invasive species.
In the spring of 2001 the first task to be performed will be a prescribed burn.
After a period of time has elapsed sufficient to allow re- growth from seed or
residual roots systems, a final herbicide treatment will.be applied. Anytime
after the final herbicide treatment all native plant materials will be installed
using the most effective method given the precise landscape involved •
(drilling seed with Truax drill whereever •accessible, broadcasting seed when
less accessible). After the initial installation we will monitor the site for.
further management issues.
I hope the elongated timeline we are now dealing with has not created an
inconvenience or caused any problems with any of the parties involved,
including, Gorem, The city of Lino Lakes or Kjolhaug Environmental. I •
assure you, although this project may be running longer than originally •
thought, it will be completed and completed successfully. If any members
of the parties noted above need more clarification about this letter,1 would
be well disposed to answer any questions ask to me regarding any aspect..of
this project.
Sincere'
Tony Rieger -Borer
President
