Planning & Zoning Board <br />December 13, 2000 <br />Page 14 <br />Mr. Schilling asked about the thought process to place the Target building closer to the <br />residential area. Mr. Paton stated there were site issues, screening from the driveway <br />activity, and light fixtures. <br />Ms. Lane asked if it would be a 24 -hour operation. Mr. Paton stated it is not. <br />Ms. Lane asked how large the grocery component would be. Mr. Paton stated it would be <br />35,000 to 40,000 square feet. <br />Chair Schaps inquired regarding the community response. Mr. Paton stated he has <br />presented this concept plan to the Planning and Zoning Board, City Council, and <br />Environmental Board and they are looking forward to the upcoming community meeting <br />scheduled for Wednesday, December 20, 2000. Mr. Powell explained it will be an open <br />house format between the developer and residents. <br />Mr. Wessel stated the Target Superstore concept has been well received by the Council <br />and the concern has been to maintain the architectural integrity with the Town Center. <br />C. ADJOURNMENT <br />Ms. Lane stated she will not be present at the January 10, 2001 meeting. <br />
